Your Excellency,

Today, I have the honor to present the Letter of
Recall of my predecessor and my Letter of Credence signed by H.E. President
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressed to Your Excellency.

Allow me first to extend sincere greetings of H.E.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Your Excellency and to the brotherly
Djiboutian people.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Your Excellency
for receiving me in a very short span of time following my arrival. Indeed, I
had the honor to be received by Your Excellency earlier in 2012 when I was
accompanying the former Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation. Now, after almost a decade, I am honored to serve my country as a
resident Ambassador in Djibouti. Today, I am accompanied with my wife- Ms. Aslı Uraz, our Deputy Chief of Mission-Mr. Fatih Mert Arslan, and our Defense
Attaché-Colonel Enver Örtel.

I am honored that I will serve as Türkiye’s Ambassador
in friendly and brotherly Djibouti, which is appreciated by all for his crucial
role for the stability and security of the Horn of Africa region.

We are pleased that our bilateral relations have
improved considerably in all fields following the mutual establishment of the
Embassies. Next month (February 2023), we will commemorate the 10th anniversary
of the opening of our Embassy in Djibouti.

Your Excellency’s and H.E. President Erdoğan’s mutual
visits have certainly provided the necessary momentum to our bilateral
relations in every respect.

We would be honored to host Your Excellency again in
Türkiye on the occasion of the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum to be held on 10-12
March, 2023. Allow me to present a copy of the invitation letter addressed to
Your Excellency signed by H.E. President Erdoğan.

Today, our countries enjoy strong political, military,
economic, commercial and cultural relations on the basis of mutual respect and
solidarity. We are happy to see that our bilateral trade volume exceeded 500
million USD in 2022, which constitutes a ten-fold increase in a decade.

We are glad that Türkiye and Djibouti share similar
views on major international and regional issues. I assure Your Excellency that
throughout my tenure, I will spend every effort to further the existing
bilateral relations between Türkiye and Djibouti.

Before concluding my remarks, I would like to thank
Your Excellency again for the kind reception accorded to me and my delegation.
We will be at Your Excellency’s disposal to further our relations within our
capacity.
